Student Support

Scholarship Committee

Each year the WREAA administers the WREAA Graduate and Undergraduate Scholarships as well as the Dianne M. Orbison Real Estate Memorial Scholarship Award. Generous donations made to the WREAA by dedicated alumni and friends make it possible to provide these financial resources to deserving students. Scholarship Committee members review and rate scholarship applications over a three week period in the spring. Contact Mandy Kaegy for more information or to volunteer.

Student Mentorship

An alumni mentor can serve in the role of friend, advisor and guide for students regarding their careers, professional options and on many other issues that face students at this stage of their professional development. hover text

The program establishes a partnership between a current student and an alumnus that is professional in nature. The mentor assists the student in building a skill set necessary to pursue career opportunities and aids the student with the transition into the work world in their area of interest. The Mentorship Program coincides with the academic year, beginning in the fall and ending in the spring.  For further information contact Greg Reed, Associate Director of Recruiting and Career Services for the Graaskamp Center.

Coordinate a Student Field Trip

Each semester the UW Real Estate Club coordinates a student field trip with the assistance of alumni from one of the WREAA Regional Chapters.  Volunteer to coordinate tours, presentations and networking for the students when they are in your area.  Select this option on the volunteer form or email the WREAA office to let us know of your interest in helping with this valuable learning opportunity for students.

Speed Networking

Students network with alumni in a format where students rotate every few minutes from one alumnus to another for just over an hour. Students will practice their "elevator speech” and learn how to make a good first impression.
