Description: A discussion of U.S. government involvement in Commercial Real Estate with Mr. Clifton E. (Chip) Rodgers, Jr., a Senior Vice President at the Real Estate Roundtable in Washington, DC. The Roundtable works with Washington lawmakers and regulators to ensure a cohesive industry voice is heard by government officials and the public about real estate and its important role in the global economy. Mr. Rodgers has successfully represented commercial real estate's stake in the national policy arena on a broad range of legislative and regulatory issues for over a decade. He is currently focused on the credit crisis and on implementing measures via the federal government to enhance market liquidity, restore credit capacity and systemic stability. In addition, we will be joined by Professor Francois Ortalo-Magne who will be giving us an update on the University of Wisconsin Real Estate Program.
