Membership
in the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association is open to all graduates
of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Center for Real Estate Program
as well as affiliates of the Program who demonstrate a strong interest
in advancing the Program.
Active members contribute to the ongoing
development of the Wisconsin Real Estate Program through WREAA's
financial support at a departmental level, through its financial
support of students, and through the organization of it's nationwide
network of alumni and affiliates who serve as 'guardians' of the
Program.
Active members benefit from the following
programs adopted by the WREAA to strengthen the UW real estate network:
* A complete membership directory
updated annually.
* Active members appear in and have access to the WREAA membership
database online at www.wreaa.org.
* An efficient employment database program that allows alumni to
explore new job openings on a national basis.
* Regional meetings on a periodic basis to allow WREAA alumni and
affiliates the opportunity to network locally.
* The biannual publication of the Equity Kicker, the WREAA
newsletter.
* A discounted member rate at the biennial reunion of WREAA members,
featuring a series of keynote speakers and professional development
sessions with plenty of networking opportunities.
* A Biennial Trends Conference (held in alternate years from the
reunion).
* WREAA sponsored hospitality suites at national industry conferences
such as those held by ULI, MBA and ICSC.
* Receipt of the Wisconsin Center for Real Estate Report; informational
brochures on conferences and professional education
programs offered by the Center for Urban Land
Economics Research; and access to Intersession
Courses, coordinated by the Real Estate Department,
which feature international travel for alumni and affiliates interested
in continuing education opportunities.
